Suffolk County Alumnae Chapter’s Welcome Reception held on Friday, April 26, 2024 was the catalyst in preparing us for what lay ahead.

Regional Day of Service
Combatting Human Trafficking:
Empowering Black and Brown Women and Children
Did you know human trafficking is an international business that yields $150 Billion? Women and children suffer the effects for a lifetime.
Today, the Eastern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Regional Day of Service is "See Me, Find Me" and its focus is on the plight of missing and exploited Black children and women.
The Eastern Region partnered with the Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMFI) in the "See Me, Find Me" campaign.

Additionally, the Suffolk County Alumnae Chapter Social Action and International Awareness and Involvement Committees elevated the impact by addressing the topic with a virtual program, "Combating Human Trafficking: Empowering Black and Brown Women and Children." Guest speakers for the evening were Senator Lea Webb, Investigator Erin Meunkle and Wilonda Green. The community was educated and engaged in an informative discussion about this worldwide crisis. We need change to start today.

Sisterhood Retreat
November 2023
The Membership Services Committee hosted a Sisterhood Retreat that was held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Obsession Banquet Hall, and it was one for the books! The afternoon was spent in fellowship with Sorors who acquainted ourselves with some, welcomed others, and shared in sisterly pleasantries. From our Icebreaker, to our culminating activity, "What do I See When I Look at Me'', created an atmosphere for sisterly bonding, friendly competition, and that good old fashion warm and welcoming Delta Love! The room decor and cleanliness provided an elegance, but the smiles and camaraderie of SCAC members was priceless, as featured in this video capturing a few Charter Members, Reclaimed and Transferring Sorors.
